Thomas Sanchez's novel, DAY OF THE BEES, will be made into a film directed by Jerzy Kromolowski, screenplay by Jerzy and Mary Kromolowski, who also scripted Gabriel Garcia Marquez's AUTUMN OF THE PATRIARCH, William Faulkner's, AS I LAY DYING, and the Sean Penn/Jack Nicholson film, THE PLEDGE.
THOMAS SANCHEZ: A FIRE OF WORDS, a feature documentary based on the life and writings of Sanchez, directed and scripted by Stephen Faigenbaum, is currently being filmed in Havana, Key West, Haiti, Miami, Mallorca, Paris, Provence and San Francisco.
Sanchez's sixth novel, a love story set in 1961 Miami against the political backdrop of the chaotic Cuban Bay Of Pigs Invasion, will be published in 2008.
